Why raw cacao changes everything
Not a treat. A ritual with real benefits.
Heart health
Raw cacao is rich in flavonoids — compounds shown to support healthy blood pressure and circulation. Processed cocoa powder loses up to 90% of these in manufacturing.
Mood support
Raw cacao contains phenylethylamine and serotonin precursors — natural compounds your brain uses to regulate mood and focus. You'll feel it in the cup.
Sustained energy
Theobromine in raw cacao delivers a gentler, longer-lasting lift than caffeine — without the spike and crash. The perfect afternoon cup.
Antioxidant-rich
Raw cacao has one of the highest antioxidant concentrations of any food — outperforming blueberries, red wine, and green tea when measured by ORAC score.
Real minerals
Magnesium, iron, zinc, and manganese — preserved by cold-pressing, not destroyed by the high-heat roasting used to make commodity cocoa powder.
Nothing fake
No artificial flavoring. No preservatives. No fillers. Every ingredient on our label is something you recognize — because you've seen it in a kitchen before.

How to make it
Two Minutes. No Special Equipment.
Warm Your Milk
Heat 8 oz of whole milk, oat milk, or coconut milk until steaming — not boiling.
Start With Half
Our blend is concentrated. Start with half a serving — you'll be surprised how rich it already is.
Whisk and Taste
Whisk until smooth. Taste and adjust. Add a splash of heavy cream for extra indulgence.
Make It Yours
Stir into espresso for a homemade mocha. No syrup needed.
Pro tip
For the thickest, most indulgent result, swap in heavy cream — or use half whole milk, half heavy cream. It creates a velvety, European-style texture that rivals any café drink. A single tablespoon of cream stirred in at the end is all it takes.
Common questions
Everything you want to know
How dark and bitter is this compared to regular hot chocolate?
English Dark is noticeably bolder and less sweet than American-style hot chocolate mixes — closer to a 70% dark chocolate bar in profile. Rich and deep without being harsh. If you prefer sweeter drinks, our Demisweet or Twisted Mint are better starting points.
Is there added sugar?
English Dark contains a minimal amount of raw cane sugar — far less than standard hot chocolate mixes. The sweetness is intentionally restrained to let the depth of the raw cacao come through. No artificial sweeteners.
How many servings are in the 6 oz bag?
Approximately 6–12 servings. Start with half a serving first — our blend is far more concentrated than anything you've tried before. Because English Dark is intensely flavored, you may find you need even less than you expect.
Is it gluten-free and soy-free?
Yes — English Dark is gluten-free and soy-free. It contains milk powder (dairy). For a dairy-free version, our Eclipsed Moon blend is your best option.
Can I use this to make a mocha?
Yes — English Dark is exceptional stirred into espresso or strong coffee. The bold cacao profile complements a dark roast beautifully. No syrup needed.
